MINUTES OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY 2010 - Friday January 29th meeting

 

 

  • The association "La Fête du Vent et de la Mer" held its 2010 General Assembly meeting on Friday January 29th in the "abri du marin" at Poulgoazec.
  • M. Bruno LE PORT, president of the association, opened the meeting with a few words of welcome to new members. Then, he made a point about the content of Article 4 of the Association status which guarantees freedom of conscience for each member. He recalled that he is not a candidate in the forthcoming elections, but that it is an individual right. Any member may make an election campaign, but should make no reference to his membership of the association.
  • The President supports the association Smith-Magenis representative and the National Society for Sea Rescue in the person of President Jacques THOMAS in testimony of its safety action in favor of "La Route de l’Amitié".
  • The association was pleased to win the support of new members, but also received the resignation of Mr. Jean Pierre and Jacques Coicaud ARM.
  • M. Yves LE LAY presented the financial report of the association which has a modest fiscal surplus. He received general approval for keeping the accounts by the entire assembly.
  • After the success of the maturation of wine in the Gulf of Morbihan, this operation will be repeated for the next edition.
  •  The meeting of mayors of cities participating in the next edition of "La Route de l’Amitié" will be held in Concarneau on a date which will be confirmed.
  • To promote the growing strength and brand-awareness of our event, the association will give a grant of 1000 euros a night to each of the ports of call to improve the entertainment on different sites.
  • The successful establishment of committees allows us to structure the association according to the following chart:

  • « La Route de l’Amitié » is growing, thanks to 250 volunteers of Sizun Cape and 800 of South Brittany, and is becoming the greatest nautical event run by French volunteers.
  • The course of the next "La Route de l’Amitié" is under consideration in consultation with the following ports: Audierne Loctudy Lesconil Concarneau Groix, Port Louis, Sauzon Houat Le Bono. Negotiations are currently underway for a partnership with the organisers of the Inter Celtic Festival of Lorient.
  • The agenda items being completed, the Chairman closed the meeting.
