Participation conditions

Responsibility

It is a condition of entry that the skipper of each boat participating in the "Route de l'Amitié" accepts full and sole responsibility for the safety of its vessel and crew. It is the skipper's responsibility to ensure the vessel is navigated in accordance with International Regulations.

Insurance of the boat

All vessels are required to carry third party insurance, valid for the sea area covered by La Route. The name of the insurance company, the policy number and the date of validity must be provided to the association at least two months before the beginning of the "Route de l'Amitié".

Participation Subscription

Each boat participating in the "Route" will pay a fee of 50 euros which includes a membership of the association "La Fête du Vent et de la Mer".

Therefore, the owners of boats (or skippers) become members of the association for a period of 2 years. This membership gives them the right to participate in the association meetings and to participate in its organisation.

This subscription is non-refundable.

Miscellaneous

For safety reasons and in order to be able to cope with adverse conditions (weather too calm, sea too rough, etc..), all vessels are required to have an auxiliary engine (either inboard or outboard) and a marine VHF radio set in order to listen instructions given throughout the trip.

In case of voluntary withdrawal from la Route de l´Amitié partway through the event, you are asked to strike the pennant representing your participation from your mast, and in case of damage to seek assistance from competent authorities outside of the organisation.
